Ask yourself if you have you ever seen any pots- new or old- that are even close to what I have done with my glazing of the pots offered here. Keep that in mind. I am going to call myself the “glaze master”. See if you don’t agree after you look at what is offered below. The pot below-#1309 is Sold. Sorry. Pictured is one of the commemorative pots for my show at the Zanesville Art Museum. It is a beauty and if you contact me, you can refer to the pot as #150- and that is how much it costs- $150. It is flawless with a pale blue green glaze with all the drawings below running in the glaze. The planned running is what gives shape and definition to all the drawn pots. If you ask my opinion, this is as nice a commemorative as I have made. However, do not reserve your judgemnt until you scroll down. There are more below. This one is 8″ tall. Below is a rare pot- #1244 and 10″ tall and it is SOLD to a fellow that always buys only the best. And I appreciate it!! Here is another commemorative pot, but this is for my show at the Meramec Gallery of St. Louis Community College. The show runs from January 28th to February 23rd, 2012. Where the Zanesville Museum show was only pots, this show is much broader and shows, pots, tiles, tile panels and human figures. I pushed the glazing a little further this time. I put more drawing and more glaze to get more running and push the words and drawing to the edge of just being decoration. As you might imagine, I am pleased since this is what I was after when I made glaze choices. Refer to the pot as “2012″ if you are interested. It is 7″ tall and costs $150. This Dragonfly pot- #1330 and 8″ tall- is the only Dragonfly I have made in the last couple of years. I had fired and glazed this one twice before and was not satisfied. The third glazing did the trick and now I love it. Love it as I may, it is going to leave me since the Dragonfly pots always sell. I think this is a very beautiful and subtle pot. That subtlety is a result of the three layers of transparent glaze. It costs $475. This Chive pot is SOLD! And now for something completely different- four seaside themed coffee cups. The cups are beach landscapes with striped bass handles. The are marked as mine with a tiny square stamp in the sand. Each cup holds 10oz. Four to your door for 135 bucks… This Grape Vine Pot is the star of the show. Again, this has been glazed and fired three times and now it sings. The tiny grapes now jump to your eye and that makes all the difference. $550 for this 9×9″ pot… Here is an 11″, four-handled Floriform Pot. It has also been glazed and fired three- or maybe four times. It is from 2007 and numbered 1163. I just refired it a few weeks ago. Another unbelievable glaze. It can’t be duplicated since I don’t keep records of how I got my results. Ahhhh, who cares. $375. Any gourd lovers out there? #1306 is SOLD, but plea$e keep lookin’. Another perfect little commemorative pot from the Zanesville Musuem Show. Lets call this one #125 and that is what it costs. It is a perfect little pot. I hate to bore you, but here is another unbelieveable glaze of electric blues and purples. This is one of my more recent designs. This “Venom Pot” is # 1302 and 10.5″ tall. These beautiful snakes are draining their venom into the pot and their eyes and fangs really stand out since they are porcelain and fired to maturity separately, then set into the white porcelain of the pot as I build it. Again, fired three times. #1302 is $600 to your door. This is a killer piece. Here is still another glaze effort of note. As usual it has been fired three or four times. This is luscious luscious and the best description to give it is that it looks melting confetti ice cream. This glaze is luscious and thick. Number 1237, 9.5″ tall and cheap at 160 to your door. The hole in the bottom is so I can glaze the inside of the pot. The last commemorative of my Meramec Show. Again, a perfect piece and lets call it #120 since that is what it will take to get it to your door-$120. —— —— —— —— —— —— ——
